“In managing the security of Surabaya City, we need a synergy between academics and the police. I am sure that the fast changes demand a proper policy and step. One of them is through science about the latest developments, “said Rudi in UNAIR rector’s office.

Kapolrestabes who was just inaugurated in November 2017 admitted that the policy of managing the city of Surabaya should adjust to the times, so supports from the academics are needed. For example in managing conflicts between online transportation and the conventional one.

Rudi hoped, UNAIR academics can provide education to the police. Because according to him, the police is the mirror of the society. If the police deemed not resourceful in certain areas, then it is our mutual task to nurture them.

“I want to show that the police belong to us together. If the police are bad, it is our duty to fix them, ” he explained. “We hope, UNAIR as an educational institution can provide education to police officers. Academics support is expected as a form of their sense of belonging, “he added.

During the visit, Rudi also expressed his desire to be part of UNAIR family. After three titles he has; graduate of police science, law degree, and master of law, Rudi intended to continue his studies at UNAIR.

“There’s a plan to study at UNAIR, as soon as possible, if I am accepted. I am very happy to wear alma mater jacket and sit with other students, “he said.

Meanwhile, the Rector of UNAIR Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., Mt., Ak., CMA., welcomed well the visit of Kapolrestabes Surabaya. According to him, UNAIR and Polrestabes Surabaya have the same task in terms of managing order and security in society.
