UNAIR Public Relations and Media Crew to Improve Quality of Information

UNAIR NEWS – Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) Universitas Airlangga with dozens of media crews have agreed to improve the quality of education news information in the city of Surabaya. It was stated in the Journalist Gathering held by PIH UNAIR on Saturday, October 14.

The event held at Hotel Kusuma Agro Batu, was started with a dinner. After that, Dr. Suko Widodo as Head of PIH UNAIR in presence of dozens of media crew spoke about the importance in improving the quality of information.

“UNAIR is our home. Whatever the news can be addressed wisely, “said Suko.

Furthermore, the political communication expert also said in the presence of public relations from the Institute of Technology Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) and the State Electronics Polytechnic of Surabaya (PENS) in the event that they were expected to produce quality information on education.

“We hope all state universities’ Public Relations in Surabaya can communicate well and together make excellent quality of information and be beneficial to the community,” he said.

Suko also emphasized that maintaining Surabaya to create positive information is a shared obligation.

“With this cooperation, we can update the knowledge to provide good and wise information, especially for the community,” said Suko.

A representative of ITS public relations, Indah Sukma said that such forum is a good activity because with good communication between the media crew and the academic community, useful input will be achieved.

“Any event of gathering with journalists is a part of our joint effort to get input, especially for each campus, ” she explained.

Representing the media crew, Rully Anwar who is also a senior journalist said that this activity can be place to exchange aspirations. In addition to being a forum to establish intimacy among media crews, he also hoped that in the future UNAIR and media crew can continue together to make useful information.
