UNAIR SDGs Center initiates student learning module

UNAIR NEWS – As one of the leading universities in Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) SDGs Center has initiated a learning module on SDGs for students. The module provides knowledge on Sustainable Development Goals for students.

UNAIR SDGs Center and SDGs Academy Indonesia have collaborated to hold a pre-Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to discuss the SDGs learning module for students via Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

In his welcoming speech, Bayu Arie Fianto SE MBA Ph.D. stated that the student module will be used as a compulsory course. “The module is expected to be a comprehensive and up-to-date compulsory course,” he said.

On the other hand, Hakim Zulkarnain SKep Ns MSN explained that students need to know the SDGs. “The module will help students in learning and understanding the definition of every point of SDGs, its urgency, strategic initiatives, and the challenges faced by the community to achieve the 2030 agenda,” Hakim said.

The delegation of SDG Academy Indonesia, Wahyu Tini Astuti expressed her gratitude for the collaboration initiated by UNAIR SDGs Center and appreciated the idea of the student module. “It’s an honor for us to collaborate with UNAIR SDGs Center. It is our first time, and we are really pleased to take part in drafting the module,” she said.

The meeting was attended by UNAIR SDGs Center members, Bayu Arie Fianto SE MBA Ph.D, Hakim Zulkarnain SKep Ns MSN, Savira Rizma Yunita SM, Moh. Agung Santoso Shum MM, Bakti Hasanudin SE, Mahmudy SPd, and Mirna Safira Amd Li and the delegations of SDG Academy Indonesia, Thomas Benmetan, Wahyu Tini Astuti, and Agung Prasetyo. The pre-FGD agenda will be held soon in collaboration with other stakeholders.
