UNAIR NEWS – Various steps and breakthroughs to reach Top 500 world class universities continuously carried out by all levels of Universitas Airlangga academic community. It establishes partnerships with various campuses around the world. This time, UNAIR’s leaders are collaborating with various universities in Pakistan.
Vice Rector III UNAIR Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Sc., Ph.D on Monday, September 17, left for the country in South Asia to visit some universities such as International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad, Quaid Azam University, and Bahria University.
“And we also have an agenda to visit Indonesian Embassy for Pakistan,” he said.
Prof. Amin also said that UNAIR delegation gave guest lectures, such as at Department of Biotechnology International Islamic University of Islamabad. The guest lecture was by Dr. Nanik Siti Aminah, from Department of Chemistry on “Small But Great Bioactive Chemical Compounds from Indonesian Ingredients”. Muhammad Muttaqien Muhallimin, Ph, D., from the Department of International Relations, also spoke about “Understanding Indonesia Foreign Policy: From the Beginning”.
Next, Dr. Nisful Laila, from the Department of Islamic Economics also discussed “Sovereign Sukuk: Lesson Learned From Indonesia.” Irfan Wahyudi, Ph.D., from Department of Communication was about “Participation in Isolation: Indonesian immigrant workers and media activism”.
Then there is also Prof. Dr. Rachmah Ida, Ph.D., from the Department of Communication who spoke about “Media ownership & democracy in Indonesia”. Prof. Mustain, from the Department of Sociology talked about “The Development Based on Local Wisdom (People Oriented)”
“In addition to guest lectures, we also conduct various collaborations in the academic field, research collaboration plans, and approvals to contribute to the Workshop of World Association Outreach which will be held in 2018 at UNAIR,” he added.
Not only at International Islamic University of Islamabad, while in Pakistan UNAIR’s group also visited Northwest General Hospital and Research for drafting an MoU in various matters concerning academic and collaborative research.
