Creative Process

Wisnu is a student of the UNAIR Management program Class 2014. He was quite surprised to receive the announcement on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. It has been a while since he submitted his work for the international level competition.

Wisnu got the information competition from the official LINE UNAIR account. With the help of some friends to give input, Wisnu submitted ten logos to be included in the competition.

Wisnu did not get a grandiose inspiration for the design he submitted. Prior to the design of the logo, he did research on trending logos widely used by educational institutions. He combined the colors of the flags of the three countries incorporated in ASEAN + 3 Unet, China, Japan, and Korea.

“At first I just wanted to submit one logo. Apparently from the committee, we may submitted many. I sent ten to increase the chances of winning. I took the colors of each country flag, yellow for China, blue for Korea, and red for Japan, “said Wisnu.

Wisnu admitted, he had never followed a similar event previously. However, he does have design skills that he only uses in the participation of organizational committees or activities on campus.

Appreciation

For his achievement, Wisnu won cash prize worth 800 US Dollars or equivalent to Rp 10,810,810.8 and certificate of recognition from ASEAN + 3 Unet.

For the achievement, UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih congratulated Wisnu. “We are all proud of this achievement. This achievement proves that UNAIR students are not only educated with matters relating to academic knowledge, but also softskill students, “explained Rector.

“Wisnu is UNAIR student who is incorporated in our start-up unit. The result is excellent, they have competitive creativity (students, ed), at least in ASEAN, “he added.

In addition to awarding session of ASEAN Logo UN NET +3 (AUN + 3), the event was also attended by the winners of the ASEAN inter-youth speech contest, Christella Finisianti, a student from University of Indonesia. Christella received the award as Best Delegate on The 18th AUN and 7th ASEAN + 3 Educational Forum and Young Speakers’ Contest. (*)
