UNAIR NEWS –UNAIR Guest House at Dharmawangsa 25 was officially opened on Tuesday, March 1. It could be an alternative place to stay in Surabaya, especially for guests who have business with UNAIR.

The management (UNAIR) provides three kinds of rooms with affordable rates. The guest house has two standard rooms, three superior rooms and three deluxe rooms. Standard rooms’ rate is Rp150,000, superior rooms’ rate is Rp250.000, and deluxe rooms’ rate is Rp325.000.

The standard rooms are not very spacious with a bed, a mini bar, and an air conditioner. Superior rooms are more spacious than the standard ones. Each has a bed for two, a mini bar, a bathroom, and an air conditioner. While deluxe rooms are the most spacious, with a mini bar, a dressing table, a bathroom and an air conditioner.

The guest house also has other facilities such as LED TV, free Wi-Fi, shower, a dining room, a kitchen, laundry service, a garage, a garden and a living-room. It is homey and the concept makes the guests feel at home.

The guest house was vacant for quite a long time, so some parts of the house and furnitures need replacements. UNAIR Facility, Infrastructure and Environment Director Karnaji S.Sos., M.Si., said that the renovation has been done since January 2016.

“It has been re-painted, re-furnished, and the garden is well-managed. The beds have been replaced with new ones. In the future, there might be more renovations such as making a pond and better garbage containers. We have renovated as well as we could so that it is beautiful and comfortable,” he said. (*)
