UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Veterinary (FKH) Universitas Airlangga teamed up with exotic community Surabaya hosted contest and exhibition for exotic animal on Saturday (14/10). This event took place at Auditorium Mustafa Center UG, Royal plaza.
The event started at 10.00 am, and officially opened by the chairman Qurais Syihab. The following agenda was speech by head of student executive board of FKH Almas Herdiansya and also Vice Dean I FKH Prof. Dr. Fedik Abdul Rantam.
This event held to celebrate World Rabies and Animal Days 2017; there were many activities included, animal contest, animal education and free medical check for exotic animal.
“This event hosted in form of education society. To provide general conception about exotic animals and provide insight how to handle and restrain exotic animals,” Quraish said
This event which will also be hosted in Banyuwangi next week expected to be a place for community education to inform that not all exotic animals are dangerous.
“The most important is we know how to treat and handle exotic animals properly without killing and hurting the animal,” He said
