UNAIR NEWS – A warm and friendly atmosphere could be felt in the hall of the first floor of the Universitas Airlangga Management Office.

Most of UNAIR academic community participated in halal bil halal event, Tuesday, July 4. In this halal bil halal event, there were students, lecturers, non-educational personnel, also the high rank officials.

Halal bil halal event was held on the second day of work after the ten day Eid al Fitr holiday.

The event was started at eight-thirty in the morning. There was a long line of academicians queuing. They lined up to pay their respects to the officials of the institution, from the directors to the rector as the supreme leader.

“We’d like to ask for forgiveness, Bapak,” said one visitor. “Likewise,” said Rector Prof. Dr. Mochammad Nasih.

The sentence continued to be uttered by the visitors to the officials. They shook hands, leaned down, smile sweetly.

The halal bil halal event that is regularly held every year was also attended by the previous rectors, Prof. Fasich, Apt Rector of UNAIR for 2006-2015, Prof. Puruhito for 2001-2006, Prof. Bambang Rahino for 1993-1997, and Prof. Soedarto for 1997-2001 period.

There was also alumnus of Faculty of Law Triyono Wibowo who once served as deputy of foreign affairs minister, shaking hands with UNAIR leaders.

Among the students, there were members of the Student Activity Unit also head and deputy of Student Executive Board  were also present in the halal bil halal event.

In the end of the event, visitors and officials took pictures together and had their lunch.
