UNAIR NEWS – Undergraduate student of Universitas Airlangga Moh. Wahyu Syafi’ul Mubarok won first place in the Kamakarya national essay competition held at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, April 29, 2018. This competition was followed by dozens of students receiving Bidikmisi tuition aid from various universities in Indonesia.
Through the contest themed on the importance of business awareness in the digital age, Wahyu wrote an essay titled Digital Geoeconomics, Industrial Revolution 4.0, and Future Students .
After going through various processes, Wahyu won 1st place, beating the students from Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), Bandung, who was third place writing about raising awareness on digital business, and UGM students who won second place by writing about sociopreneurship .
“I highlight the contributions that students can make in the industrial revolution 4.0, digital geo-economy, and demographic bonuses as it has a great urgency and need to be offered, ” explained Wahyu to UNAIR NEWS.
The main purpose of the competition, continued Wahyu, was to facilitate Bidikmisi students to contribute to the nation and state through the works.
Through the competition, this Physics Department student admitted to get enlightenment from the speakers in the seminar. Speakers in the seminar was a national start-up practitioner .
“I am aware that this nation is great and is still blind to its greatness. And most importantly, from this event back I proved that writing social themes does not only belong to social academicians because the science-people have responsibility on it, “said Wahyu who last January also won first place of scientific writing organized by the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) in Turkey.
