UNAIR NEWS – Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) participated at 7th Surabaya Great Expo (SGE) 2016. The event was held in Convention Hall Grand City Surabaya in celebrating 723rd Anniversary of Surabaya.
There were more than a hundred stands in the exhibition. Various stands consisted of educational, industrial, banking stands and promoted products of Micro, Small and Medium Businesses (UMKM).
Stand of PPKK UNAIR was crowded by SGE visitors. There were about 12 UNAIR students products offered and purchased by visitors. The products were hijabs, T-shirts, infused water, etawa goat milk, shoes and bag handicrafts made of coconut shells.
Manda, a student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNAIR who sold goat milk product Gomart, said that her milk product was sold more than a hundred. She sold milk various product such as milk powder in boxes, milk powder in packets, and liquid milk. The price was varied and affordable.
“We sell them from Rp 10 thousands to Rp 27 thousands each. The sweetest variant of milk was green tea flavoured,” said Manda.
Besides Manda, there was Adit of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR who sold infused water. Its variants were mint lemon and mango ginger flavoured.
“Infused water sold Rp 12 thousands for a bottle. Lemon mint flavor was the most popular,” said Adit who had sold more than 150 bottles of infused water.
Fairuz, one of the attendants of PPKK who is also a student of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Universitas Airlangga said that for five days, there were more than 800 visitors stopped by in PPKK UNAIR stand.
“The peak was last Friday and Saturday,” Fairuz said. (*)
