UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga will always be favorite campus of Senior High School Students to get information on Higher Education. This time, the students and teachers of Sekolah Menengah Atas Bima, from Jember, sought general information on UNAIR and student admission selection process on Wednesday, April 19.

The headmaster of SMA Bima, Drs. H. Abdul Wahab, admitted that UNAIR quality ca be seen from the graduates. He know himself that there are many UNAIR alumni in strategic positions in regional or national administrations. That is what motivated his students visiting UNAIR.

“UNAIR has attracted students and teachers of SMA Bima for a visit. It is our first time visiting UNAIR and an opportunity for students to know the tricks to be admitted as UNAIR students,”  said Wahab.

A staff of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH), Anindya Anandita, in her presentation stated that UNAIR is given a target by the government to reach Top 500 Universities in the world.

“We keep improving the resources and programs for accreditations. Some programs aren’t accredited  A yet, we make efforts to improve the position can be better,” said Anindya in front of 320 students of SMA Bima in  Airlangga Convention Center.

One of the students, Fanda, said that the visit has motivated her to join selection for UNAIR next year. Asked about her aspiration, Fanda said she wanted to study in Faculty of Medicine UNAIR.

“It is my dream faculty and will be my first choice after I finish senior high school,” said Fanda.

The Headmaster, Wahab, in the end of the visit said that his students have got enough information on universities especially UNAIR and they are motivated. “It has motivated us, the school and students of SMA Bima to compete and prove themselves so they can study in the favorite campus, UNAIR,” he said.
