UNAIR NEWS – “For me, the most prominent achievement during the study was being able to complete the working practice of psychology profession at Puskesmas well.” It was said by Fusha Maulida Rahma, the best master graduate of Faculty of Psychology Universitas Airlangga in July 2017.

After completing the study and passing through various stages, Fusha was named the best graduate with 3.72 GPA. For her, the most memorable experience was when he was carrying out the practice profession of psychology as a counselor for six months in Puskesmas Keputih, Surabaya and UPTD Liponsos Kampung Anak Negeri Surabaya.

“In the public health center, I have to deal with people who do not believe in the functionality and capability of psychologists,” said the woman who was born in Blitar, June 30, 1991. However, after the approach, the community then realized the importance of the role of psychologist or a candidate Psychologists in both physical and mental health.

The practice of professional psychology for Fusha is not merely to give a solution, but also to analyze and be sensitive to the problems. Indirectly, psychologists and future psychologists play an important role in the future of children and adults who have problems.

“If the intervention given brings bad influence, then the influence will affect the lives of the children or adults,” added the alumnus MAN 3 Malang.

To UNAIR NEWS, Fusha shared tips in studying in Psychology Master program. She admitted that the study is very different from the undergraduate studies.

“The most important thing is to stay motivated. At the master degree, students’ independence is even more honed. Lecturers will not give the material in detail, so students are required to develop their own knowledge. If students are not able to maintain motivation, they will be left behind and difficult in completing the study, “said Fusha ended. (*)
