NEWS UNAIR – This is the 6th of Psychology Film Festival aims to improve creativity. In this festival with topic “Peace Dialog” has two categories for student and general. .
“This Psychology Film Festival is followed by 135 participants, general fiction and student fiction. In student category is for high school, meanwhile, general is for those who has degree above,” Abimanyu Suryo exolained, the chairman of Psychofest
Senoaji Julius, a jury in Psychology Film Festival explained about high enthusiasm of participant of this festival. Among other festival films, Psychology Film Festival is the one who attract huge excitement of participants.
“The quality of selected movie for screening is excellent. The quality is same as non-campus film festival,” Senoaji said while delivering speech
“Their work will be contested again at a more prestigious level. It becomes a barometer that the cinematographic works involved have the qualities to compete. “They deserve to be able to compete at a higher level,” he said.
According to Seno when it comes to challenges in film maker, to keep working is the answer. There are various well-preparations to face some changes in today digital era.
“It is not only talk about production equipment, but also film playing media and audiences becomes homework for filmmaker. This is challenges and need to face through a work,” said the winner of Indonesia Film Festival in Short Movie category.
In other hand, Abimanyu stated that bringing indie films and indie audiences is a challenge. The existence of such a festival can provide more space in promoting the Indonesia cinema.
“Hopefully, this event can attract some attention from policy makers. In either, this can improve creativity, it also can push the growing of creative industry in Indonesia,” He said
