To France, UNAIR Establish Collaborations with Higher Education Colleges

UNAIR NEWS – To improve the recognition of Universitas Airlangga in the international community, UNAIR Rector and officials is making strategic visit to Europe. During the visit, UNAIR is making an active contribution as co-organizer of a conference entitled International and Mulidiciplinary Conference. Rector left for Europe with 20 presenters from various faculties in UNAIR.

The first visit was on Wednesday, March 14 at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris. On that occasion, Prof. Nasih opened the conference with representatives from the University of Le Havre, the Universe of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, and the Embassy of India.

“This trip is part of a strategic visit to Europe, where UNAIR firstly participates actively as a co-ordinator of the conference,” said Airlangga Global Enggagement Secretary (AGE) Dian Ekowati, SE., M.Si., M.AppCom (OrgCh)., Ph. D.

Several academics of UNAIR were Rachmah Ida (FISIP), Nur Wulan (FIB), Emy Susanti (FISIP), Diah Ariani Arimbi (FIB), Tri Martiana (FKM), Margaretha (FPsi), Santi Martini (FKM) Yuni Sari Amalia (FIB), Rudi Purwono (FEB). At the conference, they discuss different topics such as economics, psychology, gender, culture, health, and other trending issues.

To all the audiences, the Rector of UNAIR conveyed various things about an inclusive and sustainable global economic system. He mentioned about economic development in Asia including Indonesia. Furthermore, Prof. Nasih also mentioned the predictions of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) stating that three countries in Asia – China, India and Indonesia will be in the top five countries with the highest market growth that will dominate the world market by 2050.

” There has to be strong endeavor from all parties to work together to make safety net for ensuring that the growth is not only enjoyed by particular parties but by all parts of society, “said the Rector in a speech.

In addition, still on the same day, the Rector signed a MoU of education and research collaboration with Ecole Nationale Veternaire de Nantes France. The MoU took place at the Indonesian Embassy in France and witnessed by Education Attache and Acting Ambasador. (*)
