UNAIR NEWS – As one of the best higher education institutions in Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga continues to encourage its students to prepare their post-campus life. Besides the internal development in the form of scholarship, external programs such as practice and internship continue to be conducted especially internship in international institutions.
Therefore, UNAIR held a dissemination event on internship opportunity by KRA Group on Tuesday, April 3 at Siti Parlinah Room, Campus B Library, UNAIR. KRA Group is one of the international institutions engaged in research , communication, and information, especially focusing on social issues in the ASEAN region (Asia Pacific).
KRA Group’s senior analyst, research and advisor Alhimny Fahma M. Med., Kom., revealed that as an international institution that has handled many social issues, KRA Group needs to seek the best people outside Jakarta as in East Java, especially UNAIR, there is a great potential available.
“This event held at UNAIR is the first time. Even in Surabaya, “she said. “Because we want to get the best people from East Java. Yes, we know the potential here (East Java, ed) is reliable. I think this is a good first step, ” she added.
According to Alhimny, socio-cultural problems in ASEAN region can be utilized by internship participants , especially the final semester students of UNAIR, to hone and develop themselves to prepare them for the challenges in the next workplace.

“They can learn how to deal with the most demanding job ahead. We do not just teach them how to learn. But, also how to communicate and conduct analysis on the latest social issues, ” she explained.
The Analyst, Research, and Advisor Choirunnisa Nur, S.E, said that being students, especially young people, need to taste other experiences outside Indonesia. As, the competition abroad was much more stringent.
“On the other hand, for the open competition, we must, are demanded to survive the condition,” she said.
Meanwhile, Head of Information and Public Relations Center Dr. Suko Widodo, Drs., M.Si., in his speech said that the opportunity to get the scholarship and intership must be used well by the students. Students should develop other skills.
“Therefore, the Information and Public Relations Center wants to facilitate inter-faculty students who want to develop themselves in the field of journalism, analysis, and information,” he explained. “So, you do not just focus on one field. I am from vocational studies, I am from Communications, I am from Medicine. Try to look at the world like the professionals at KRA. And, face the challenge with success, ” he added.
