UNAIR NEWS – There is an exciting news at the end of this July. The number of professors of Universitas Airlangga is increasing. UNAIR will inaugurate officially three new professors on Saturday, July 28 at Garuda Mukti Hall, 5th Floor, UNAIR Management Office Building.

The three new professors are Prof. Dr. Chiquita Prahasanti Sulistiowati, drg., Sp., Perio (K), a professor in Periodontics Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG); Prof. Dr. H. Soegeng Wahluyo, drg., M.Kes., Sp. KGA (K), a professor in Dental Pediatrics Faculty of Dental Medicine  (FKG); and Prof. Dr. Basuki, M.Com (Hons)., Ph.D., Ak., CA., CMA., a professor in Accounting from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB). With this inauguration, UNAIR now has 186 active professors out of 474 professors in total since UNAIR was established in 1954.

In the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Chiquita will be the 18th active professor of FKG, 180th UNAIR professor since gaining status as PTN BH (state universities legal entitiy) in 2012 and 472nd since UNAIR was established. In the inauguration, Prof. Dr. Chiquita will deliver a scientific oration titled “Tissue Engineering: Future Hope Overcoming Aggressive Periodontitis”.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Soegeng will become 19th active professor of FKG and 473rd professor since UNAIR was established.  Prof. Dr. Soegeng will also be confirmed to be the 181st professor since UNAIR gaining status as PTN BH. The scientific oration entitled “Insight for Child Dentistry in the Field of Health on Benefit and Impact of Fluoride Consumption” will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Soegeng in the inauguration.

Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Basuki in his inauguration will deliver a scientific oration entitled “The Development of Accounting: From ‘Market Waiter’ as Means to Welfare”. Prof. Dr. Basuki will be FEB’s 23rd active professor, 182nd professor of UNAIR since gaining status of PTN BH and 474th since UNAIR was established. (*)
