UNAIR NEWS – Ineffective communication between physicians and patients may result in a medical dispute between them. Although from the dimensions of knowledge and soft skill are very good, but the evidence in the affective / attitude dimension is still not the best. Such conditions encourage Dr. Ade Armada Sutedja, dr, M.Kp, to conduct a research for his dissertation.
The scientific work allowed him to be chosen as the best graduate of the Postgraduate School of Universitas Airlangga, in September 2017 graduation. He was graduated with 3.97 GPA.
In his research, Ade explained, about 80% of medical disputes arising between doctor-patient were triggered by less effective communication. Because communication is related to compassionate behavior. Therefore it is necessary to develop compassionate behavior by general practitioners to patients, “he explained.
In 2013 he was appointed the best graduates in the FISIP UNAIR Public Policy Program. This year, he got it again after going through the ordeal that caused his legs broken at four locations, namely the right and left thigh, shin, and ankle.
“When I was going to the dissertation eligibility exam, I got a motorcycle accident. It was my mentor, Dr. dr. Hariadi Soeparto, encouragement that ‘It’s just an incident not accident . The hands and the brain can still think. Immediately finish your doctorate, no need to take time off. ‘ I followed his advice, “he said.
In addition to be busy as Chairman of the Indonesian Doctors Association of Jombang, Chairman of Hearing Impairment and Deafness (PGPKT) of Jombang, Head of Legal and Defense Member of East Java PDUI, Head of P2KB IDI Jombang, and Chairman of Clinic Association (Asklin) Jombang. The father of two children proved that the multifunctional position did not limit him to achievements.
For Ade, the most important thing is to keep the motto in action that is embedded in him: faith, charity, science, self improvement , and istiqomah. (*)
