UNAIR NEWS – Anggi Mopri was the Fisheries and Marine Biotechnology Master’s Program best graduate from the Postgraduate School at the graduation ceremony of Universitas Airlangga in March 2018. The man born in Luwuk, May 29, 1989, finished his study with a perfect GPA, 4.00.
“I am very happy and honored, thankful to God, Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit that my struggle so far has made me the best graduate,” he told Unair News.
In completing his studies, he studied about fermentation of biological fuels (biofuels) . His research has a sense of urgency because of the need for renewable and environmentally friendly fuels has been a national and international spotlight.
For him, the demands of research results to be applied in everyday life, while the rarely used natural materials, gave him a challenge. Anggi admitted, to get research materials Enhalus acoroides in Raja Ampat, he was assisted by his family in Sorong.
During his studies, he was also active in Bina Antarbudaya Surabaya, which is engaged in student exchange since 2006. Since 2016, Anggi was given the trust to be president of the organization. “Every year we select Indonesian high school students to stay and study abroad. We also accept foreign students to live and study in Indonesia,” he explained.
Although he is busy, he upholds a principle that ” The greatest wealth is health “. No matter how busy it is to meet deadlines, he has to pay attention to health. With family motivation, Anggi succeeded to finish college with maximum results.
According to him, going to college is to improve self-integrity through education. Integrity is influential for professional world. Apart from that, he can meet friends from other departments who is multidisciplinary. It develops his skill in other fields.
“So far, many people have supported to this point. So this kindness should make me useful for others. One of them is by creating jobs, “he said. (*)
