UNAIR NEWS – Rifa Rindayani Syafitri’s dream of becoming the best graduate has come true. She had inscribed her dreams on Rifa’s room wall. The student from Surabaya succeeded in realizing her dream, as the best graduate of S1 Faculty of Nursing (FKp) with GPA 3.75.

“I always have wished this long before. I wrote it on my bedroom wall. I always do it for my great wishes. Everytime I sleep I always look at it and it makes me excited, ” said Rifa to UNAIR NEWS .

Difficult admission to UNAIR and not to disappoint his brother who supports her, Rifa focused on her study, so the results are the best. Although sometimes in her spare time she performed in a band at various events.

“It was very difficult to enter UNAIR . The competition was fierce. From my own school there are about twenty who take Nursing Education. So I was in doubt at first. But everytime I looked at my bedroom wall, I got my spirit again. And Alhamdulillah finally became the only one who was admitted from my school, ” she said proudly.

For her thesis, the last child of three studied “Analysis on Factors Affecting Lower Back Pain (NPB) in Faculty of Nursing Students of Universitas Airlangga.” It was inspired by most FKP students who often experience pain in their lower back.

“I was inspired to write it. By knowing the cause, we can prevent the occurrences for back pain, “he added.

The student born on March 10, 1995 was currently busy with her professional program. Rifa said that she does not have other activities because she wanted to focus on her study. In addition she wanted to prove that she remains focused, despite being awarded as the best graduate.

To students who are still struggling to finish their studies, Rifa suggested them to have high spirit and future goal. “Maybe it can build the spirit of learning like myself way. Write down your wish in a place you often see, for example in the room. That way, it can be a prayer and support  for us, ” she said. (*)
