UNAIR NEWS – Cecilia Margaretha, the second child of two siblings, never thought her master’s education would have ended sweet. She was named the best graduate of S2 Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR in March 2018 graduation. Cecil, graduated with 3.81 GPA.
“Working on my thesis was quite challenging. 24 hours seemed to be not enough. Back and forth. Find references, guidance, to the library, going to office , ” she said. “We must be smart to manage time. Between work and college. And socializing with other friends, ” she added.
The women keen on running often had to make time to complete her job. Cecil often spent the night with a pile of research data. “But my admiration to my parents reminds me, boosts my spirit,” said Cecil who works as Esther House of Beauty.
Finally, the thesis entitled “The Influence of Employee Development to Turnover Intention with Perceived Employability Mediation and Job Autonomy Moderation” could be completed by this psychology graduate alumnus. The title was inspired by her curiosity on the triggers and intention turnover dampers , the desire to stop or change employment because turnover rate is very high.
“The problem of human resources is not as simple as low salaries, then raised,” he said. ” Employee development is about attitude development, knowledge, experience, skills, and performance of employees of the company,” she said.
Although it has a positive goal, on the other hand, employee development is likely to harm the company. Employee perceptions of opportunities may arise, especially in perceived employability in the labor market. As a result, turnover intention may increase.
“Includeing the effect of job autonomy. When labor authorities make employment decisions that match their expertise. I was curious (about the influence Employee Development, ed), ” she said.
The key to her achievement was commitment. A choice must be followed by the responsibility of to do the best. “Focus on the target and do the best,” she said. (*)
