UNAIR NEWS – Student internship experience is highly considered by companies when recruiting for talents. For this reason, the Directorate of Career Development, Entrepreneurship Incubation and Alumni Affairs of Universitas Airlangga (DPKKA) held Airlangga Career Club entitled “Asix Internships, Getting Job Easier ” on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, via zoom meeting. 

Arie Meilani Nasution, Head of HR and Culture Development Section of PT Askrindo was the guest speaker at the event. Following the agenda, Arie conveyed information regarding the socialization of the internship program for final-semester students.  

Arie said Askrindo is an agency part of the BUMN Holding, Indonesia Financial Group (IFG), engaged in general insurance and assurance. Askarindo has 59 branch offices in Indonesia. 

He continued that Askrindo is opening internship for final students and fresh graduates with a duration of 4 months. Arie said that great people like Bill Gates, Elon Musk, to Sri Mulyani have one thing in common, they all have internship experience.

“Some benefits of the internship we see from interns at Askrindo include utilizing our knowledge during college, honing skills, gaining experience and portfolios, recruiting professionals, mentorship, to providing self-confidence and additional income for interns,” he said. 

From the company side, Arie said that having interns could increase company productivity and understand updates about the world of education. Arie introduced the ASIX (Askrindo Internship Experience) program, an internship program for students and fresh graduates who want to gain work experience and get to know Akrindo’s corporate culture.
