UNAIR NEWS – The good implementation of cooperation between either party/institution can be one of the reasons for both parties to extend the current cooperation contract. This is also the prevailing reason at Universitas Airlangga where many business partners keep extending their current cooperation contract. One of the business partners who recently extended their cooperation contract is Bank BNI Sharia. Led by the President Director himself, Imam Teguh Saptono, Bank BNI Sharia conducted a signing to extend the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on Friday (3/3).
In front of the media, Imam explained that basically the new MoU is an extension of the previous agreed MoU. However, there are a few different things. When previously Bank BNI Sharia cooperated in banking transactions like SOP payment, this time there is a new program offered by Bank BNI Sharia.
“The new discussion topic this time is Griya Swa Karya program which was approved by OJK last January. In general this new program is the bank’s way to give and build a campus facility which is funded by the bank with bank ownership model at the beginning,” Imam explained.
In addition to the statement from Imam, the Rector of UNAIR Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE., Mt., Ak., CMA., welcomed the cooperation offering, since it is relevant to what UNAIR currently needs. Besides, a cooperation concept which is acceptable to sharia law, to Prof. Nasih, is very suitable with the current needs.
“Here in Campus C there is still a lot of empty land, cooperation with Bank BNI Sharia hopefully will induce campus facilities construction,” Prof. Nasih explained. “Facilities such as canteen and parking lot,” he concluded.
