UNAIR NEWS – To respond to international challenges in the ASEAN region, the Faculty of Nursing (FKp) Universitas Airlangga offered a variety of strategic programs implemented in 2017. One of them is visiting world class professor program.
FKp invited a professor of The University of College Cork (UCC), Ireland, Prof. Eileen Savage Bns., Msc., P.hD. She is the head of School of Nursing & Midwifery. Prof. Eileen will deliver several special workshops for FKp lecturers.
The workshops are related to research development and publications for lecturers as well as nursing education curriculum. She will also escort some selected lecturers to prepare their research manuscripts to be published in reputable journals. Prof. Eillen will also give a guest lecture for undergraduate and postgraduate students of FKp UNAIR.
“For three months, the activity is expected to improve the exchange of information and technology in nursing, especially in the realm of teaching, research, publication, as well as resources development of Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga, “said Professor Nursalam M.Nurs., Hons. as the Dean of FKp UNAIR.
The program is expected to enhance the quality and experience of the academic community in research as well as nursing science, especially in terms of the ability of academic writing and publication of research articles in indexed journals as well as the development of network and mutual collaboration.
The program is aimed to increase the intellectual property and improve the reputation of FKp as a center of nursing education in Eastern Indonesia. In addition, Prof. Eileen will brainstorm with faculty for joint degree program establishment in both institutions. The activity will be from October 30 to December 2017. (*)
