KKN-BBM Farewell Event, UNAIR Students Hold Fun Walk

UNAIR NEWS – The community service of the 57th KKN BBM Universitas Airlangga is almost over. In a few days before their return on Saturday, January 27. Various activities were held to present intimate impression for festive and meaningful farewell.

As in Nglajang Village, Sugihwaras Sub-district, Bojonegoro Regency, a gun walk event called “Fun Saturday” was held on Saturday, January 20. This activity was followed by students of Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Kindergarten (TK), to Elementary School (SD).

“Besides as closing and farewell event, the target of this activity was to invite children to walk around the village,” said Dewinta Safira, the person in charge.

This activity received a lot of supports from teachers of early childhood education, kindergarten and elementary school. Even the Drumband team of SDN Nglajang also participated in this event. Previously they trained well so they were able to perform their best.

This event was started with a registration and Malik Muluk, representative of teachers at SDN Nglajang cut the ribbon to mark the start of the fun walk from SDN Nglajang and the finish line was at the Nglajang Village Hall.

The sounds of balera, cymbals, bass, drums, and pianicas heard along the way. The muddy road because the rain the night before did not discourage the participants. Even some parents accompanied their children and expected to win door prizes.

As they arrived in the Village Hall, doorprize was drawn by the village officials. When all the participants gathered to witness the drawing, the activity video was shown and they looked happy. Various door prizes were available from stationery, books, to other school equipment intended to motivate the spirit of learning.

“Hopefully, this event will give a good impression from KKN for children and motivate them to keep learning,” added Devi Noaritasari, a member of KKN team in Nglajang Village.

Farewell Session with Officials

In addition to a fun walk, there was also a farewell event with the village officials to report their activities for 20 days with the community on Wednesday, January 23. Although some work programs were experiencing technical and implementation constraints, village officials assess that this KKN program have better concept and creativity.

“We all village officials would like to thank for your presence and apologize if the facilities we provide were inadequate,” said Syapi’i, Head of Nglajang Village.

All work programs were implemented well and supported from the community. This KKN contribution is expected to change the mindset and increase the insight of the local community. Syapi’i also hoped that in the future they can establish cooperation again with Universitas Airlangga. (*)
