UNAIR NEWS – Student Creativity Program (PKM) is one of the prestigious annual student activities. Universitas Airlangga also continues to collect the best ideas and works of students in PKM. For the best, students’ work will be pitted and competed to the National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) event.

This year (2018, ed), PIMNAS is to be held in Yogjakarta.  UNAIR continues to make efforts to win the gold medal. This time, through the Rector’s of UNAIR regulation, Institute of Community Service launched a new program of KKN PKM. A KKN program aimed at students who won gold in the PKM field of community service or so-called PKM-M.

IN this regard, Head of LPM UNAIR Prof. Dr. H. Jusuf Irianto, Drs., M.Com ., said that gold medal achievement in PKM-M is a prestigious achievement. It gains excellent reputation for students and alma mater.

“This is an acknowledgment for the student’s efforts in competing for gold in the PKM-M.Only PKM-M achievement is admitted equivalent to KKN, “said the Professor of FISIP UNAIR.

Furthermore, Prof. Jusuf asserted that the implementation of PKM-M in the field is actually not much different from the implementation of KKN-BBM program.

“PKM-M is almost the same as KKN program, so we dare to consider it equal program with KKN,” he explained.

At the end, Prof. Jusuf also said that although the gold winner in PKM-M has been considered the same as following KKN, LPM does not prohibit the students to follow other KKN program.

“We give freedom for winners of PKM-M to follow other KKN program,” he concluded.
