UNAIR NEWS – Airlangga Career Fair (ACF) is held again this year. It is held by the Center for Career and Entrepreneurship (PPKK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as the 30th job fair. The event was opened on Tuesday, July 3 at the Airlangga Convention Center Building (ACC).
The opening of the event was attended by Vice Rector IV UNAIR Junaidi Khotib, S.Si., M.Kes., Ph.D., Apt .; sponsor’s representative; as well as companies that claim to cooperate in the event. The event was enlivened by hundreds of participants from various universities.
On the occasion, the head of PPKK UNAIR Dr. Elly Munadziroh, drg., MS, revealed that ACF is a program to provide access for graduates to enter the professional world. Some other UNAIR PPKK program is fostering entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial mindset. In addition, every week PPKK holds meetings between students and business practitioners.
“So, any business practitioners who is interested to make his company better known to younger siblings since early age we are ready to facilitate,” she added.
In line with the statement, Junaidi revealed that ACF is UNAIR’s agenda to give access to UNAIR graduates. In addition, ACF becomes a university endeavor to support the companies as university partners to gain excellent human resources.
“So, the event is very good to bring together the graduates and the companies. So, they can find excellent seed, “he said.
Meanwhile, Head of ACF Committee Drs. Tubiyono, M.Si., acknowledged that ACF this time is open to public. It is aimed at giving companies an opportunity to find resources from all universities with potential. UNAIR is also expected to give more contributions to universities in the surrounding environment especially the ones with limited access to the companies.
With ACF, Tubiyono hoped UNAIR graduates can have great competitiveness. In addition, students who focused only at their academic performance or too focused on the GPA can always follow the trainings of PPKK.
“I urge the last semesters students to access more information from PPKK. Because, in PPKK, there are many trainings in collaboration with large companies. In addition, students should not only excel academically, but also have soft skills , “he said. (*)
