UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga’s position among world’s top universities is getting more prominent. UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Moh Nasih, emphasized this statement after the university he had led since 2015 continues to shine.

In the middle of June, the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings (QS WUR) listed UNAIR in the 369th rank of the world’s top universities. Now, the UK-based university rankings publisher has placed UNAIR in the 81st rank of Asia’s leading universities.

Alhamdulillah [thank God], we received another good news. UNAIR has been listed in Asia’s 100 Top Universities, ranked 81st to be precise,” Prof Nasih said during the celebration of 68th Anniversary of UNAIR on November 10, 2022.

From the 81st position in Asia, UNAIR is ranked fourth in Indonesia after Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada, and University of Indonesia (UI).

Collaboration and anniversary gift

Prof Nasih believed that the efforts made to be among world’s best universities are joint efforts in creating a high-quality educational environment. The solid effort and collaboration of every UNAIR academician have come to fruition.

“To achieve the 81st rank, we need solid collaboration and teamwork among the academicians. Your prayers and support help us earn this achievement,” he said.

The QS AUR announcement for UNAIR’s 81 positions became the most beautiful gift for UNAIR in its 68th anniversary. The announcement was made right before UNAIR commemorated the 68th anniversary.

“It’s such an exceptional gift for UNAIR’s 68th anniversary,” he said.
