INSTINCT 6 National Scientific Writing Competition invites young generations to innovate and conduct synergizing research under the theme of “The Action of Gen Z as the Golden Generation to Revive and Restore the Indonesian Economy with G20 Presidency”.

For the competition, they presented MELITOO innovation, a healthy café to prevent diabetes among Gen Z through the empowerment of SMEs of stevia artificial sweetener producers.

The idea was sparked by the trending sugary drinks mostly consumed by Gen Z. It encourages the team to educate Gen Z to reduce the excessive consumption of high-sugar food and drink.

They encouraged the stevia artificial sweetener producing UMKM to support the idea. Nauris, one of the team members, explained that they passed some stages of selection, including the abstract selection, full paper submission, and presentation.

In the end, Nauris advised students to be courageous to start something and voice out their idea. “Working with your team and keeping the solidarity are the keys for a well performance in the competition,” he said.
