Rector Urges Staff To Follow Change of Time

UNAIR NEWS – Rector of Universitas Airlangga Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak., CMA., inaugurated the echelon III and IV officials in UNAIR. There were 31 officials inaugurated on the fourth floor hall, Tuesday, February 27.

In the inauguration speech, the Rector pointed out that in response to the development of the times, all education staff (tendik) must understand two things, fast service and work standards improvement.

To all officials inaugurated, Prof. Nasih insisted that they should give good, responsive, and quick service as the era of advancement has demanded that all to be served easily and quickly.

“In the past, when we were in college and very different from today. The generation we serve will be different. Generation ‘zaman now’ demands fast pace. Then, slow service was no problem. Today if the service is not fast and not good, then service can be reported even to the president, “said Prof. Nasih.

Therefore, Prof. Nasih encouraged all officials not to serve customers like in the past. Furthermore, in supporting UNAIR step towards Top 500 world universities, new officials are also required to improve themselves in providing services related to research, publication, and internationalization.

“In the future, our common task will continue to be related to research, publication and internationalization. So we have to improve our works. Do not let us be obstacles to progress, “said the Rector.

At the end, before ending the speech, Prof. Nasih reminded them to recent issues of  red handed arrest (OTT) by Corruption Eradication Commission especially heads of regions. Prof. Nasih urged all officers who have been inaugurated to continue to maintain the good name of UNAIR by not doing things that violate ethics, mainly bribery and corruption.

“If there is a bribe, I myself will catch you red handedly,” he joked. “So, let’s all keep the good name of UNAIR that has been gained long ago,” Prof. Nasih.
