UNAIR NEWS – The Head of Information and Public Relations (PIH) UNAIR Drs Suko Widodo M.Si was interviewed by UNAIR Radio on Tuesday, January 26. The topic was about National Admission Selection (SNMPTN) and Joint Admission Selection (SBMPTN). In that occasion, Suko stated one fundamental thing students should have, passion in choosing their majors.
Students should have a strong desire to get into a certain study program. Then, choose unwaveringly. “Future orientation must be clear. What major it should be, what passion or desire you have. So that later at college you can enjoy it,” said the FISIP lecturer.
Those choices are important in the process of SNMPTN (invitation channel) and SBMPTN (written test/CBT). So, choose wisely with no constraints. Don’t choose a study program because it is not popular. Your study will not go at the best way possible.
During interview, one of the listeners from Kendari asked if her school does not have alumni studying at UNAIR, there will be no chance for him to be admitted through SNMPTN? “Track Record is indeed a variable, but it is not the main one. The most important is still your performance. At UNAIR, there are parameters like Indonesianness, diversity which in the end are the same opportunity for students from anywhere,” Suko answered Laode Alfian through Chat Box at www.radiounair.com. To know more on the technical information of SNMPTN and SBMPTN, students can access snmptn.ac.id and sbmptn.ac.id. It can also be done through ppmb.unair.ac.id. (*)
