UNAIR NEWS – Student Executive Body (BEM), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Airlangga in collaboration with Amira Bilqis community once again held an event of more than one hundred packs of meals to the people who needed them around campus B UNAIR on Friday, May 25.

The participating volunteers gathered in front of Campus B Mosque at four o’clock in the afternoon. Then they distributed the wrapped meals at some locations from Dharmawangsa to Gubeng station. The target of the distribution were newspaper seller, beggars, pedicab drivers, garbage collectors, and others.

“We were originally going to hold it before the fasting month, but the moment was right and from the enthusiasm we held it Ramadhan,” said Aniza Rania as the person in charge of this Thousand Wrapped Meals activity this year.

The wrapped meal for her was one way to lighten the burden working mothers. However, a number of worker fathers were also given rice wrappers.

” Jazakumullah, I can only be grateful for the favor of God for the gift given through you by giving meal as iftar today,” said a cleaner.

According to Aniza, with the sharing activity, they are reminded not to forget their health. In the future, BEM FEB Division of Community Service hoped that this sharing activities do not stop only in Ramadhan month only.

“Not only in the month of Ramadhan alone, it should also done outside Ramadhan because the goodness of sharing is not only done in the holy month but anytime,” she concluded.
