UNAIR NEWS – Computer Based Test (CBT) will be carried out this year, for National Exam(UN) or Joint University Admission Selection (SBMPTN). This CBT method was considered to be more efficient on time and cost. UNAIR is one of the universities appointed by the government to hold SBMPTN with CBT method.
On Friday, March 18 three central committees of SBMPTN visited UNAIR. It was aimed to ensure UNAIR preparation for CBT method SBMPTN. The inspection was done to three faculties in UNAIR, Faculty of Nursing (FKp), Faculty of Medicine (FK), and Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).
As explained by Djoko Adi Prasetyo, Drs.,MSi., as the coordinator of UNAIR CBT SBMPTN, UNAIR has prepared 350 units of computer with 60 units for back up. Those 350 units were divided in three faculties, FK with 200 units and 35 units for back up; FEB with 100 units and 20 units for back up and FKp with 50 units and 5 units for back up.
“For CBT implementation, as instructed by our rector, we have prepared the computers we have. There are about 350 computers and 60 more for back up. How many used will depend on central decision. Physically, UNAIR is ready to implement CBT SBMPTN,” said Djoko Adi.
Prof Dr. Hasnawi Haris, M.Hum. as the central inspector said that based on the inspection in three faculties of UNAIR, UNAIR is qualified for CBT method SBMPTN.
“We considered three places allocated by UNAIR, Fkp, FK and FEB were adequate. But however we will visit them. The announcement will decide later whether UNAIR qualified to hold CBT model test,” said Prof Hasnawi.
After inspection was done to universities, there will be an announcement to inform which universities which has the right to hold CBT test and whether UNAIR qualified to hold it this year.
“After the inspections there will be an announcement to ensure whether UNAIR qualified for CBT this year. There will be some notes from us. If something needs improvements, we will inform UNAIR, what needs to be improved to hold CBT test,” said the professor from Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). (*)
