UNAIR NEWS – For Special Coverage ‘Our Head of BEM’ this time, UNAIR NEWS succeeded in learning from Hadi Nur Romadlon, Head of Student Executive Board (BEM), Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), Universitas Airlangga.
Interviewed after an afternoon lecture several weeks ago, the student from class 2015 revealed that becoming Head of BEM for him is a way to apply knowledge and experience and to make innovation in BEM FF.
“At first he was not so sure to apply as the head of BEM , but unexpectedly the encouragement from my friends was great so I was convinced to to run for candidacy,” explained Head of BEM called Hadi.
After successfully elected and undergone stewardship for two months, Hadi claimed he wanted to make some innovation for his faculty. Hadi said that he wanted to involve professional students in FF in activities at BEM because it is needed in academic activities.
“The program plan with professional students is in the form of job fair which attracts the company with a series of activities such as workshop, interview, and recruitment by companies. The event was an effort of BEM FF to support World Class University which was declared by UNAIR, “explained Hadi.
In the preparation of BEM FF led by Hadi, it required the participation of FF students by doing open recruitmen to be the committee. However, the challenge of BEM FF is the distribution of students who are willing to participate. Therefore, BEM FF Human Resources is aimed for even distribution.
“The applicants have met the minimum quota, but they are the same people mostly. The plan was aimed for even distribution of human resources, although it was still in the formulation phase, ” he said.
Even distribution is Hadi and team’s efforts to give FF students benefit by participating in committees and organizations. It is expected to expand bigger relationships and knowledge that they do not get in classes.
Not only the distribution of human resources, in the future Hadi wanted to invite FF students to be active in organizations and make achievements. It can be done by giving example through professional and competitive values instilled in the internal elements of BEM FF.
“With professionalism, I invite BEM members to love BEM itself. While the competitive value is shown by the achievement made by the members to show that although they are busy with the organization, they keep making achievements, ” explained Hadi.
