UNAIR NEWS –After going through a quite long election meeting, Students Delegation Council (MPM) Universitas Airlangga appointed BEM chairman and deputy chairman 2017-2018 period on Friday (17/3). They are Anang Fajrul Ukhwaluddin as chairman, and Rinaldi Yoga Tamara as deputy chairman.
Anang Fajrul Ukhwaluddin studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Science(FISIP, 2013) while Rinaldi Yoga Tamara studies at Islamic Economy Study Program (FEB, 2013). The decision was made after going through a quite tough meeting compared to the previous year meetings of the same case.
Anang-Rinaldi pair will explore 2017 with their three high-ranking missions, namely synergy, movements and achievements.
“Three out of our seven main high-ranking missions namely synergy, movements and achievementswill become our stepping stone in carrying out the students mandate one year ahead. We truly hope our programs will bear positive results in favor of UNAIR students as well as alma mater,” explained Anang, the chosen BEM UNAIR Chairman.
Prior to this, MPM held a rather long meeting. On Friday (10/3) they discussed meeting and election regulations, Saturday (11/3) how to present vote netting result in every faculty and meeting about fit and proper test 1 and 2, campus safari and Campus Community Trial (UMK), Sunday (12/3) strengthening and weakening of candidates and meetings.
The three candidates carry their respective mottos. First-pair candidate presented Airlangga Harmony as their motto, Collective Work was the motto of the second pair of candidates, and GO Airlangga as the motto of number 3 pair of candidates. Nevertheless, the three pairs of candidates have the same mission, which is movement. What they mean by this is strategic students movements to boost UNAIR towards World Class University.
“Let’s pray what the chosen pair of candidates said during the Fit and Proper Test, UMK, and a series of PPK agendas can be actualized to bring ORMAWA UNAIR to a better state,” said Raditya Pratama, the 2017 Committee Chairman of Campus Election(PPK). (*)
