UNAIR NEWS – Students of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) Universitas Airlangga  must interact with animals. Some of them even look after some animals. Desy Meta Anggraini for example, she has some pets at home.

“Looking after animals are my favorite activity, at home I have  some pets like cats, cows, birds, catfish and swans,” she stated.

Her love to animals has made her appointed as the best graduate with 3.94 GPA. She admitted that it was not an easy thing to achieve. She had to struggle and work hard as she had to revise her thesis a couple of time.

“I had to sacrifice a lot for the thesis, my time, my mind and feelings. Especially when I had to revise my thesis for 15 times when my friends just had to do it 3-4 times, and I had to managed my time as lecturer assistant,” said Desy.

In her struggle, Desy has determination and patience. They make her independent.

“Do not stop working on the thesis or assignments even when you’re not in the mood, it’s better to do small part of but regularly and do not complaint to much that God always has plan for you. Hardwork, Patience and Belief are the keys,” he said.

The woman born in Pacitan 23 years ago was also active in campus organizations. She used to be a secretary of Islamic Veterinary Media and Opinion Division in 2014 and Lecturer Assistant in Parasitology Department for 2 semesters.

“I am proud that I was trusted to guide my juniors. It’s tiring but I’m happy I could help them,” she added. (*)
