UNAIR NEWS – Being a father did not stop William Sayogo to complete the master program. Evidently, he managed to finish his education as the best graduate. The biggest challenge for him during his master study was to manage the time between college, work, and family.
“Of course there’s part of the risk, such as the lessened attention to child growth development. But after I got it through, there will be a way out even though I have to think hard, ” said William who is also a lecturer in a university.
This young lecturer took the title of “Dalethyne + Potential to Epithelial Improvement and Decreased Expression of α-factor Necrosis Tumor Factor on Rattus novergicus Skin Wound Infected with Methylillin Resistant Staphylococus Aureus (MRSA) Bacteria.”
His research was motivated by bacterial resistance to several types of antibiotics. As a result, the morbidity and mortality rate of patients infected with bacteria tends to increase. One of the bacteria that can cause resistance to some antibiotics is MRSA.
It is also bacteria that cause infection of the skin that is injured. Therefore, an alternative drug that is capable of killing MRSA is needed. The graduate of the Immunology master program studies Dalethyne + new drugs extracted from olive oil.
“I researched about Dalethyne + new drugs extracted from olive oil. In conclusion, this new drug can kill MRSA bacteria and accelerate the healing process of skin lesions in mice infected with MRSA, “said William.
For William, the success he achieved can not be separated from the role of the family. For him, the family is an encouragement to continue working.
“Prayer, advice, and spirit are pouring into the family,” William said.
He then said that his son and future generations should have a competitiveness to develop self-intellectuality. (*)
