UNAIR NEWS – To optimize the potential of youth to build start-ups, Start-up Geeks community held a Start-up Geeks go to Campus at Universitas Airlangga . The event was held on Friday and Saturday 5-6 May 2017 at the UNAIR Management Office.
Roadshows to these universities were conducted to encourage youth to optimize the development of digital technology and also to success the government programs, the movement of a thousand start-up digital. More than a hundred participants attended a talk show hosted by the start-up community. The founder of Riliv digital start-up , Audrey Maximilian, explained that starting a digital-based startup had to start from the existing problems.
“Don’t be so hurry thinking about profit.” Said Audrey, an Alumnus of UNAIR
Audrey said that Indonesia was a big market for start-up development. He guessed, if Indonesia could have been controlled, so it would be easy to be in world market.
“Riliv is one of the start-up which engaged in psychology service. I spotted chance, everybody has problems. Riliv makes a system that combines the digital world and psychology, “Audrey said.
UNAIR was the fourth university who had been visited by Start-up Geek Community. The others are Universitas Negeri Surabaya, Universitas Ciputra, and College of Communication Science Surabaya (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Komunikasi Surabaya).
In the talk show, participants and speaker discussed about ideas which could be an embryo of start-up digital, such as ideas of dream house, sell pet properties and government affairs.
