“Selfishness should be set aside so we could get input from the promoter or the co-promotor. Lastly, I always tried to open my laptop and did my dissertation, eventhough I only had half an hour,” said Noer.
Asked about her observation in the field, she said that prematurely born child was the biggest cause of babies’ death. Therefore, the baby should get intensive care, in hospital or outside hospital. And the mother was the main character of the baby’s treatment, so the mother needs to learn from the nurses on how to take care prematurely born babies.
“Unfortunately, the condition was not like that,” said Noer Saudah. During treatment in hospital, the mother’s involvements were only to breastfeed and carry the baby. Poor involvement of parents for prematurely born treatment in hospital will create dependent character to treat the baby after admitted in the hospital.
“The effect, the baby can experience growth disorder in his life. Therefore, the mother should learn more later from the real concrete and active experimental in treating prematurely born baby,” said Dr Noer Saudah. (*)
