UNAIR NEWS – Einstein said that “The only source of knowledge is experience”. So, it is not wrong if experience is a valuable thing for everyone, including for Eka Khusniatuz Zahro.
One of the students of Information and Library Science (IIP) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Airlangga participated in an international conference at Suntec City of Singapore on Thursday, November 16. The four-day Youth Study Overseas (YSO) conference was themed “ASEAN Startup for the Next CEO”.
The conference was attended by two renowned speakers, Mr. Stephanus Titus Widjaja, founder of BISA (Business Indonesia Singapore Association), and Mrs. Anna Vanessa, CEO of The Savvy and Tera Capital director. Overall, the conference discussed how the younger generation can become capable CEOs or entrepreneurs capable of competig in today’s global and digital competition.
“I am proud and excited to be part of that international conference. I’ve learned a lot,” said Nia. “There was great entrepreneurship insights that can be directly implemented,” she added.
Regarding her activities, continued Nia, participants were learning while having fun. The culture in Singapore such as Bugis, Malay, Chinese was introduced and then it will be associated with entrepreneurial characteristics and seen opportunities.
“We’ll get broader connections. I get a lot of friends, both domestic and foreign, ” she said.
In the end, Nia advised friends to improve their quality with their own passion. “So the student should not easily satisfied and too happy with the comfort zone. Because, this zone will not make us into something. Do something else outside your studies and enjoy, “said Nia.
