UNAIR NEWS – Being a pluralistic country with diverse ethnic, religious, racial, and classical groups is natural for the nation with Pancasila which became the nation’s ideology since the nation was founded, Pancasila has proven able to maintain unity amidst various challenges and threats.

Sacred Pancasila Day which is always commemorated on October 1, becomes a moment to re-enforce the values ​​of Pancasila in life. Rector UNAIR Prof. Nasih said, Pancasila has been proven to unite the diversity that exist in the midst of life of the nation.

Prof. Nasih also added, with the diversity united by Pancasila, it has become a duty for all elements of the nation to hold firmly the values ​​that exist in Pancasila itself.

“Pancasila is already proven to unite us all. Therefore, we all want the values ​​of Pancasila to be held firm and practiced, by students or all academicians, “he explained. “If it is not firmly held, Indonesia can be fragmented. We don’t want it to happen, ” Prof. Nasih stated firmly.

Furthermore, Nasih emphasized that the main value of Pancasila lies in unity. For him, unity will be created well if social justice can be felt by all Indonesian people.

“Because we think that justice will unite us even more and bring national unity,” said Prof. Nasih.

UNAIR held a ceremony to commemorate Sacred Pancasila Day attended by all officials and educational staff in UNAIR and students on Monday, October 2. The ceremony was held in the yard of Management Office Building UNAIR solemnly. (*)
