UNAIR NEWS – At first, Yunita Fauziah felt that she chose the wrong department but she tried to adapt in the department of her choice. She had difficulty in the beginning of her study, but finally Yunita finished it with various achievements and graduated as the best graduate of Faculty of Nursing Universitas Airlangga. She earned 3.71 GPA.

“Once, I was trusted to represent Department of Nursing UNAIR in English debate, and alhamdulillah I won the second place,” recalled Yunita, met UNAIR NEWS.

Yunita’s achievement in English Debate Ners Vaganza 2014 improved her confidence to continue to keep making achievement. The opportunity to represent the faculty was again acquired by Yunita in the 48th APACPH Conference held in Tokyo, September 16-19, 2016.

Her paper was about health screening program for Foreigners (WNA) who will enter Indonesia, by providing immunization and prophylaxis.

“I did not expect to qualify, initially I just submitted a paper. But I could go there to present the paper, ” said the daughter of Marti and Suprianto.

According Yunita, her struggle in the course was the same as other students. Nothing special but she was more vigorous and more persistent in fighting for something. In completing the thesis, Yunita’s title was “Relationship between Parental Self Efficacy with Temper Tantrum Frequency in Children Aged 2-5 Years “ .

She wrote the thesis because she saw the condition in here environment where many children ‘sulk’ and rage on their parents when their desire is not fulfilled. Yunita challenged herself to find out the cause of it.

From the results of her thesis, she knew the importance of parents’ confidence in nurturing and responding to the emotional behavior shown by the children. According to her, parents must have confidence that they can take care of their children, remain optimistic to be able to face challenges and try to find the best treatment. (*)
