UNAIR NEWS – Three Universitas Airlangga’s Professors from different disciplines will discuss global economic issues. All of them will hold a discussion in the event of Professors’ Innovation Exposition  with ” Formula Facing the Global Economic Revolution in This Era”. The event will be held in the Hall of Amerta Management Office Building UNAIR Campus C, on Thursday, November 2.

The three professors are Prof. Dr. Bagong Suyanto, M.Si., Professor of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Si., Psych, Professor of Faculty of Psychology, and Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco, SE, MBA., Ph.D., Professor of Faculty of Economics and Business.

Regarding the agenda that routinely held by Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR, Dr. Suko Widodo as the Head of PIH said that the event is a breakthrough for UNAIR to inflame the thinking of the great master. By holding the event, Suko hoped that the ideas of UNAIR’s professors can solve various problems, especially the current issues.

“This is our effort to present ideas of our professors as one of the solutions to the problems in society,” said Suko.

Regarding the theme, some professors have different responses. Contacted by phone, Prof. Suryanto as the speaker said, to tread the globalization, social capital is really necessary.

“Because whatever happens in the world of political economy and conspiracy, social capital needs cooperation, mutual trust, and organizations should protect each other,” he explained.

In contrast to Suryanto, Prof. Bagong said his plan would be to review more deeply about the impact of global change on the poor in Indonesia.

“I will discuss more about the fate of the small the poor and the globalization of the economy and the new neocoloniaslisme,” he explained.

Inviting more than 100 participants, the discussion is planned to be broadcasted live by one of the private televisions. (*)
