UNAIR NEWS – Held in Hotel Royal Kuningan Jakarta, Universitas Airlangga through Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center (PPKK) held an alumni gathering on Sunday, July 31. In the event, UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Moh. Nasih, SE., MT., Ak., CMA, had an opportunity to meet the alumni of UNAIR Communication study who have achieved success in professional world.

At least there are three alumni with excellent achievement in the event, they are Arah.com Media Online Director Agung Rulianto, Jojo Raharjo of CNN TV Indonesia, and Mohammad Taufik of Public Information Agency. In the occasion, Prof. Nasih hoped that alumni roles on media can improve publication of UNAIR to wider society.

“I hoped that UNAIR Communication Alumni can help UNAIR through publishing information to wider society on UNAIR,” he said.

In response to that statement, Jojo Raharjo said that UNAIR should be equal with other world universities as with thousands students and alumni UNAIR has, it can improve university’s ranking at global level.

“We have hundreds of thousands alumni, they are potential to support UNAIR’s reputation,” Jojo said.

In the occasion, Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH) UNAIR,  Drs. Suko Widodo, M.Si., responded Rector’s hope and comment. The expert on political communication is committed to keep making efforts to collaborate in order to improve UNAIR publication development.

“UNAIR public relations will always improve networking with wider media community, not only with partners in Jakarta and Surabaya only. The objective of course to make UNAIR publications known to the world,” said Suko. (*)
