UNAIR NEWS – For students, building high social skills is essential. Universitas Airlangga History Department Student Association encourages the new students to contribute and serve the community in Undaan Orphanage and Keputih scavenger village on Sunday, September 18, 2022.

Citra Ajeng, the person in charge of BUDI (sharing and community serving program) said that the program aims to build students’ social skills regardless of religion and background. “It’s students’ community service,” she said.

BUDI’s agenda include bonding, environmental hygiene education, waste sorting, and sharing with children. Furthermore, the students also built their social skills and gave public speaking training to children.

“We hope the knowledge will be internalized at young ages,” she said.

In the end, Citra and the committee hoped that the BUDI program will allow students to implement their knowledge in daily life.

Community service is a part of new students’ orientation, Ragam Sejarah Penuh Warna (Rahwana).
