UNAIR NEWS – Everybody think that hair is the most important part of body. Meanwhile, there are also many people consider it as”jewelry” that need to be well treated. Beautiful and healthy hair needs the best care with a good shampoo product. Inappropriate shampoo can cause unhealthy hair, hair fall, split end and dandruff.
Mostly every day the hair is exposed by pollution and sunburn that also can cause damage hair. In addition, according to data from the Directorate General of Pollution and Environmental Damage Control and Forestry in 2015, 68% of rivers in Indonesia been categorized as heavy pollution.
During in times, People thought that the main source of river pollution was industrial waste. But, mostly it came from household waste. Household waste more caused by lifestyle of using harmful chemicals to the environment, for example is the use of unsafe and not eco-friendly shampoo.
Four students of Universitas Airlangga create innovation called “Bu Mamik”. They are Febriansyah Anandya Putra (2016), Niko Rokhman Syahputra (2015), Rana Firdha Azhari (2016), dan Annisa Karyati (2016) student of Faculty of Vocational Studies.
This idea been written on research proposal of Student Creativity Program (PKM) 2016 -2017 and succeeded get research grant from Kemenristek Dikti (Misitry of Research, Technology and Higher Education).
This herbal shampoo was made by natural ingredient; certainly it is eco-friendly, because it produces little foam yet provides much benefit for hair. Combination of sunflower oil and coconut oil is the natural advantage of “Bu Mamik” Shampoo
The combination of both materials has benefit for nourishing scalp, strengthen hair follicle, preventing branching, falling hair and anti-dandruff.
“The advantages of this product are to remove dandruff and reduce hair fall without side effect, and it is safe for both kids and adults. Most of common shampoo only use coconut oil or even just sunflower extract, but this product combine both,” Febriansyah Ananda said, the leader of the team.
In addition to that, green tea essential oil extract in this product provide double advantages to make more hair healthy and good fragrance. The smooth, soft, healthy and beautiful hair after washing with natural shampoo “Bu Mamik” will boost the confident for daily activity.
This shampoo package available in bottle of 100 ml so it is easily portable, especially when do travelling. The price also affordable only Rp. 20.000/ bottle; So, it is cheaper than others.
