UNAIR Students Take Top Three FIFGROUP Youth Innovation

UNAIR NEWSUniversitas Airlangga’s students take the top three of the annual competition organized by PT Federal International Finance, FIFGROUP Youth Innovation. It is a competition for youth to be creative and know more about financing industry.

The first winner in the competition was Haflan Alfiri Widrayat and Wahyu Rais Agung, students of Management program 2017 with their idea of Piper Ningrum L Finance . The second winner was Elvinda Shella Maurisa, student of Management program 2014 and Andy Ahmad Alfian, student of Development Economics 2013 with their idea of Danastra Young Entrepreneur Funding .

While in the third position was Siti Nurseha, Physics Program with Rino Saputra, student of Accounting program 2015 with an idea of Integrated Cervical Cancer Awareness Funding System .

The announcement of the competition result was held on Wednesday, December 6 at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BDS, South Tangerang. From 72 proposals that have passed a series of selection, the best five were through for final selection.

Andy who won the second place said that he and his team presented idea of ​​business financing for freshgraduate with their diploma as guarantee. He sees tremendous potential from freshgraduate, especially in building and developing a business.

Halfan claimed that he did not expect to get the first place. In fact, he was pessimistic because he had less experience. He and the team presented the steps for  FIFGROUP company to be able to enter a new segment, agriculture.

Halfan and team presented the concept of marketing in the form of partnership. This partnership is established between FIFGROUP and customers. The idea benefits both sides after some the calculation.

“The brainstorming process was about two weeks. Luckily, we are classmates, so we knew our schedule. It was not difficult to manage our time, “explained Haflan.

For Halfan, students should not only study in the classroom. Because according to him, what the company needs is not just theory in the classroom. Various abilities can be gained from joining competition. It gives a useful soft skill in the world of professionals.

Halfan is determined, in the future he will continue to make achievements in any field, if there is a chance.

“This is as a reward for UNAIR who has accepted me as a student. It’s really nice to be part of this university, “Haflan said.

The first, second and third winners were from UNAIR, the fourth winner was from Travelpay team from Universitas Gadjah Mada and the fifth winner was ASETRA team from Institut Teknologi Bandung. (*)
