UNAIR to Hold Discussion with All Society Elements

UNAIR NEWS – On March 30, 2016, UNAIR is going to hold a public discussion with figures of the society. There will be sub-district heads, police and all elements who have cooperated with the university. It is going to be held in Campus C, fourth floor from 09.00 to 12.00.

“There are so many parties which help UNAIR in all aspects. This gathering will strengthen our well-maintained ties. Insya Allah UNAIR Rector and other officials are coming,” said Drs Suko Widodo MSi, the Head of Information and Public Relations Center (PIH).

Interestingly, Rek Ayo Rek (RAR) community is also coming, regional government, the head of DPRD and members, press and other exponents are also coming. This gathering is expected to give inputs, advice and criticisms for UNAIR betterment. “As we always resound often, we are pursuing our dream to be in Top 500 World. To be a World Class University,” explained Suko.

Besides, we want to find solutions to all problems, regional or national, through this gathering. We hope that it could be held routinely to formulate solutions of many problems in every aspect of life.

Later on, there will be a latest topic discussion. All elements of executive, legislative, academic and others will gather and contribute. Then a recommendation made will be consideration in making policy.

The head of RAR community Herman Rifa’i said that his party all this time is proud of UNAIR. “The campus has been a good example of egalitarian behavior and concern to environment. It can be seen from this discussion, UNAIR Rector will present all of UNAIR officials to meet and converse with the society,” he said.

RAR itself consists of figures with different backgrounds. Local figures, leaders of religious communities, businessmen, nature’s lovers, education experts and other important figures.
Moch Machmud, a member of DPRD from Democratic Party said that what UNAIR has done will be an important step for the development as it tried to gather academician, businessmen and the government. “This gathering and discussion like this should be held routinely,” he said. (*)
