UNAIR NEWS – Grand Opening of Pembinaan Baca Alquran/ Quran coaching (GO PBA) is a series in welcoming ceremony of Universitas Airlangga freshman. This event was held on Sunday (13/8), is an obligatory event for the Muslim freshman of Universitas Airlangga.

It took place at Airlangga Convetion Center (ACC)  Campus C Universitas Airlangga, it was attended by thousands freshman of UNAIR. It was also attended by Director of Student Affairs UNAIR Dr. M. Hadi Subhan, S.H., M.H., CN, The Islamic course officer (PJMK)  Sunan Fanani, S.Ag., M.Pd.I., and also Imam Iswandi as a representative of city government

In his speech, Hadi said that this Qur’an coaching was an obligatory agenda for new students who would take Islamic study course. According to Hadi, it was required because it was very supportive to and in accordance with the jargon of UNAIR that was Excellence with Morality.

“It’s matched to the our jargon that means human have to be excellent and have morality based on religious values,” He said

In this event also there were various activities such as religious art al Banjari, qiroatul quran, 500 mentor inauguration and also the guest lecture by two speakers were Ust. Mahendra Darwis an author and Rizki Adam CEO PT. Bank  Mahasiswa Indonesia.

After Grand Opening, the students will join Quran reading coaching test in each faculty, this coaching will run from first semester until next semester.
