UNAIR NEWS – Airin Gondokusumo, a student born on February 9, 1996, must have been proud because she was named the best bachelor’s degree graduate of Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Airlangga. It could not be separated from her work in three and a half years by achieving a nearly-perfect GPA; 3.95.

In her thesis entitled “Characteristic Comparison of Financial Technology Peer to Peer Lending Service with Banking”, Airin reviewed banking characteristics with Fintech P2PL . They were compared to find the similarities and differences between the two.

“I chose that title because the Financial Technology Peer to Peer Lending (Fintech P2PL) is one of the technologically financed products that is rarely discussed, especially in terms of law, whereas in Indonesia Fintech P2PL is growing,” said Airin, the best expert witness at Internal Moot competition Court FH UNAIR (2015).

The alumna of SMA Gloria 1 also works as a chemistry teacher at one of the tutoring institutions (LBB) in Surabaya. Although majoring in law, a social science, Airin also likes to study chemistry subjects which is one of the basic science.

“I used to be a student in LBB, then after graduating high school I was offered to be a tutor in it. Because I like chemistry lessons, I accepted the offer. Income from tutoring can also add my pocket money, and I started tutoring from semester 1 until now, ” she said.

During her study, she often felt bored and tired because of many activities. But she can overcome it because she got the hang of it.

Now, Airin tried to find information related to master’s studies as well as work information. Even if Airin was accepted to work she would continue to Master’s program (S2) even though she had to wait one or two years later. (*)
