UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga finally held an offline ‘Introduction to Campus Life for New Students’ or PKKMB 2022 after it was held online in 2021 and omitted in 2020. The series of UNAIR 2022 PKKMB, commonly referred to by its abbreviation, Amerta (Young Ksatria Airlangga) UNAIR 2022, was followed by 8,232 new students.
Amerta UNAIR 2022 carrying ‘Cawan Emas Peradaban Airlangga, Indonesia dan Dunia’ (Gold Cup of Airlangga Civilization, Indonesia, and the World) as the theme was expected to share the self-development experiences for the new students. Being held from August 18-27, 2022, Amerta consists of various events, from the inauguration, Amerta Jayendra, university materials, student organization material, Amerta Candradimuka, Panca Tirta Display UKM, series of PKKMB at the faculty level, and Amerta Abiseka.
Charming Point Amerta UNAIR 2022
Rizaldy Kurniawan Pratama, Chief of Organizing Committee Amerta UNAIR 2022 from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) said that some remarkable guest stars would be featured in the event.
“The charming points of Amerta UNAIR 2022 lie in the guest stars in the Amerta Abiseka . We will have Ganjar Pranowo SH MIP, the Governor of Central Java, and Dra. Khofifah Indar Parawansa MSi, the Governor of East Java as the keynote speakers at the Prigi Widya Amerta . Kotak (band) will also perform in the closing,” he said.
Governors’ messages
Ganjar and Khofifah will deliver materials on ‘Nationalism Character Building: The Young Ksatria Airlangga’s Role in Welcoming the G20 to Realize the 2045 Golden Indonesia’ in the Amerta Abiseka as a part of Amerta UNAIR 2022.
Ganjar said that counter-productive distractions in college life, such as drugs, pornography, etc., are commonly found. With the amount of sacrifices made to study in higher education, such as energy, finances, and even having to go far from home, he hopes that UNAIR’s new students can resist those temptations and focus on what they aspire to.
Following Ganjar’s speech, Khofifah advised students to build a solid foundation in terms of intellectuality and morality, as life is entirely unpredictable. The crisis is one of them.
Kotak uplifts energy
In closing the Amerta UNAIR 2022, Kotak gave their best performance through their hit songs, Terbang, Beraksi, Pelan-Pelan Saja, Tendangan Dari Langit, Hantam, Haters, and many more to motivate new students to chase their dreams.
